Preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and various account analyses in support of the General Accounting function. Group works an 8 hour day with flexible start times; hours may be longer during close. Responsibilities:• Responsible for accounting, recording, reporting and coordinating with others for common transactions and shared processes across all company entities such as insurance, account payable accruals, cash clearing accounts, other assets/liabilities, monitoring telecommunication allocation, etc.• Responsible for all aspects of accounting, recording, reporting and coordinating with others for corporate programs• Preparation of related account reconciliations, including multiple bank reconciliations in accordance with company policy• Preparation of various consolidating analysis in support of Management and Financial Reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis• Responsible for responding to questions from regional accountants, external auditors, and internal auditors• Able to perform research within the general ledger and work with IT regarding the flow of transactions• Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process• Analyze financial results to gain understanding of variances for designated area of responsibility• Assist with special projects as requested• Assist with Sarbanes Oxley testing
